Monday Musings

Hey Peeps!!

Since I usually do my SammaSpot Snapshot on Tuesday I've been trying to come up with something for Monday's.  Of course,  I was planning on doing a Friday Five every Friday and you've gotten just one of those so my track record is spotty to say the least.  Hey, I keep chugging along and giving it the old college try.

Let's start the week by saying, Sunday is Father's Day.  If you are one of the lucky ones and can still see or talk to your father, please do.  I'm telling you as a bona-fide Daddy's girl, when they are gone, your heart will forever be missing a chunk.  I'll spend a few minutes having a quiet Samma to heaven chat with my Daddy before spending the day with Hubster and his girls.   My sweet boy has work and some other exciting things going on this weekend so he won't be here but we're working on getting mama up to Chicago because she's missing him pretty bad these days.  

As for us this year, Court, Penny the wonder dog and Luna kitty cat will arrive on Thursday, the Merebear will hop over on Friday evening after she gets her work day complete.   Saturday will be (hopefully) some pool time, fun time and then we're meeting M.C.'s family for an early birthday dinner.   M.C. will then come back to our house with Court and Sunday we're having us a Father's Day cookout.  Normally we have hotdogs but Hubster wants to do burgers this year.   Honestly, we may do Hot Dogs too because 4th of July is too far to wait for more Hot Dogs.

So, my usual meal plans are pretty much out the window since the Court is pretty much vegan now and Merebear is vegetarian.   Means I have to put some serious thoughts into meal planning so that everyone has good food to eat.   The bad part is that it's Monday and I have ZERO ambition today!  It's been raining all morning and the guy is back working on the fence in the backyard so we can't go hang out outside until he goes home about 5 or 6 tonight.   I might join little Rouxby Sue on the sofa and join in on her snore fest she's got going on right now although I really should get started on the meal plan/grocery list and run the quick vacuum through the house from a weekend of working outside.

Anywho, nothing grand or exciting today, just popping in to say that I'm still around and I'll see you tomorrow for Tuesday's regularly scheduled content.
