Can you believe it's been almost a month since I've updated you on anything? I knew it had been a few weeks, but a month?! That's just crazy talk.
Well, there's a lot to catch up on so grab a beverage and sit tight, this one might will get long. I'm going to try and catch up on clothing and food all in the same swoop. Lucky for you, I forgot to take lots of pictures.
Let's go allllll the way back to April 15th, I left you guys with what I wore that day but apparently we went to dinner that evening. Probably from depression of paying the IRS. Anywho, we went to our local pizza place and this is what I wore.
The top is old from Ralph Lauren, they didn't have this blue/white stripe on the site but it's the basic Oxford button down shirt. Timeless, gets better with age.
The shorts came from my April Nuuly rental. These are from Madewell and are my usual Madewell size 27. I didn't think I liked these the first time I wore them but I grew to really like them. Sadly, I did not keep these but I might rent again before summer is over.
The belt is old and I couldn't tell you where from and the shoes are my favorite Sperry's that were a collab. with Nordstrom last year.
Dinner: Tony's Pour House
I'm sure I had a slice and a salad because that's what I always get. Boring and predictable, yes, but his salad dressing is da bomb diggity!
Let's move on to Friday, April 17th shall we? I had my first intermediate hand embroidery class so we had to get dressed.
The top is from Old Navy last Christmas. They still have the shirt but not in this color way. Mine is white with green,black, and white thin stripes. It's just the right cropped for me although I do usually wear a tank underneath.
The shorts are from Evereve, they are my usual size 26 and they are a divine stretch linen.
My shoes are crocs! Yes, you heard that right, crocs and they are the best. Mine have studs on them but they come in several colors on the Crocs site. I really want the milk chocolate color too. People, I walked miles in these sandals in Mexico City and they were way more comfortable than the tennis shoes I took.
Looks like we went out to dinner again that night. This time was another local place called Tequilas Mexican Bar & Grill. We went with the neighbors and I'm pretty sure I wore what I had on since I had been to class.
Let's check out Saturday's attire because it turned cold and rainy....see, I knew I needed jeans in that April rental order. 
Hubster went to the deer lease with Reggie so Rouxby Sue and I held down the fort. We had high ambitions of leaving the house but the rain and cold discouraged me so I ended up at home all day.
Top: You know my love of the Daydreamer brand, this is my Led Zeppelin sweatshirt. It's no longer available but you can see a close up on the Whatnot site. It's a medium and it's perfectly too big.
Jeans: These are from Old Navy and I got them on sale Thanksgiving weekend. These are a size 2 and they are plenty roomy so size down in these.
Socks compliments of a Mardi Gras parade.
Dinner: I have no clue, probably cereal or chips and salsa since I was home alone.
Hubster came home on Sunday and obviously it was still chilly out. We ran a few errands so I pulled on this.
The sweatshirt is from 2023 Anthropologie. They don't make anything like it but it's pretty awesome. I got Merebear a Taurus one for Christmas that year, hers was green.
The jeans are the same ones from yesterday. I just pulled them on again. I'm also sure at some point I put some kind of shoes on before we left the house.
Dinner: We had salmon that I had picked up at the grocery store on Friday. It was already pre-seasoned with Lime Pepper.
The slaw mixture was made without mayo and just added cilantro and lime juice to the bagged slaw mix. Sooooo Yummy!! Then we topped it off with asparagus fresh from the garden. It was a delightful dinner indeed!
It's Monday the 20th and I'm off to class again today. Bucket List books talking about The Call of The Wild. First off let me say, did not care for this book at all. Don't understand why it's a classic, but it is and I've read it so I'm done with it. haha.
Sweater: I grabbed this sweater from Evereve and I LOVE it. Every time I wear it I get so many compliments. It's my usual size small, it does fit a bit oversized and a little cropped. I had a white tee on underneath.
The jeans: I'm almost positive these are my Kut From The Kloth jeans you've seen before. My usual size 2 in Kut.
Shoes: Old, retro Nike shoes and the swish is bright pink and there is yellow trim too. My two favorite colors!
Then I changed when I got home because it was cold and icky that day again.
See, the jeans would have gotten a LOT of wear if I had rented them.
The sweatshirt is OLD and I mean like from the 90's old. It's a boring white Nike sweatshirt that I obviously love because I've held onto it for several moves.
The sweatpants are a couple of years old, they are the Zelle brand from Nordstrom. These are a medium and they will fall off if you don't tie them real tight but they are soooo comfy. Even Rouxby Sue agrees.
Dinner that night had no photo but we had Stir Fry with Dumplins. Some weeks I get into a groove and see what I can dig out the pantry and freezer to make dinner. This was one of those nights.
Let's move on the Tuesday where we had another class and required real clothes again.
I grabbed another old sweatshirt from Anthropologie and I'm sorry you can't see the details but it's the Bun Horoscope. Here's a link to one on a resale site so you can see it up close. It's an incredible sweatshirt.
Jeans are from a fall Nuuly rental where I kept half the items in my box.
They are AG Brinley and are a 27.
The shoes are Nike Court Legacy and I picked them up at Nordstrom Rack a few years ago. I've worn the devil out of these too.
Dinner that night was Chicken Alfredo for the Hubster and just Alfredo for me cuz' I don't really eat chicken any more.
Long story but it makes me gag to think about eating it now.
Anywho, our Sam's Club has these pre-made chicken breast with Italian seasoning and Hubster absolutely loves them. I just chopped one up and we had Rao's Alfredo sauce and noodles.
Easy, peasy, lemon squeezey!!
Next day, was back to class.
Today had a pale pink Oxford button down from Target last year. I think it's their Universal Threads label. It's a size small and it fits perfectly although I probably should have ironed it if this pic was taken before class. haha.
The jeans appear to be the same old from Old Navy.
See, I told you I really should have gotten jeans in my April rental!
We had Brazilian black beans & rice for dinner that nights.

Whew, are we exhausted yet?? Let's refill if you need to because we've only made it to April 23rd! I had no where to go so I bummed around the house all day getting caught up. It must have warmed up too since I'm wearing shorts and t-shirt.
It's the 32 degrees skort (s) you've seen a hundred times and a Silversun Pickups t-shirt that I got when I drug the Hubster to that concert. Looks like I also washed my hair that day! It was catch up day!
We had leftovers for dinner too.
Here we go, it's Friday and we're off to school again. I FINALLY got to wear some of my rental clothes too! As a side note, I did keep these shorts. I just couldn't bear to part with them.
The shirt is a divine linen shirt that I already miss. I tried to rent it again but it was gone, I will be trying to get it again in June. Here's the link to it on the Anthropologie site. It's a good shirt and in a size small that makes it perfectly, slightly oversized. The shorts: They are Joe's Jeans and they are the Jessie relaxed shorts and these are a 27. Should I have gotten the 26, yep, but they were all rented so I couldn't re-rent in another size and besides, I think I like them best oversized. These are like the perfect short, dress them up a little like I did or dress them down with t-shirt or pull them on over your swimsuit. These shorts feel like you've had them forever and broken them in fabulously. I just couldn't part with them. They will be worn a LOT!!! The shoes are my old metallic Birkenstocks you've seen before. Tried and true. Dinner that night was with some friends to a local Mexican place, it's not my favorite but it's the company that matters.
We spent Saturday morning going to several plant places so we could work on this unsightly corner in our backyard. Little Rouxby Sue is now our lawn care specialist. She loves sitting on the lawnmower, if she goes in the garage it's the first place she goes.
Sunday was shopping day, or the day my husband thinks we can find enough clothes that I don't look like a ragamuffin. We went to 3 stores, found 2 pairs of shorts and 2 tops. Needless to say, my Nuuly subscription lives on!
Here we are ready to go: Wearing that Kate Spade champagne & French fries t-shirt and those amazing jean shorts again. You can tell in this picture how big they are but I do not care...not one iota because comfort won out. Plus the last pair I went down a size in made the length too short so we aren't messing with that anymore. Those Birkenstocks again!
Let's take a quick peak at some things I found but didn't end up getting. I'm hoping they go on sale and I can pick them up then. All from Anthropologie so I can link them and if you see them on sale you better tell me!

This dress....I REALLY wanted to bring it home but I just really felt like it was a smidge overpriced.
Ali Embroidered dress by Pilcro. I am wearing it in the small, but now that I look at it, I might need to go in and try the extra small. If this goes on sale, I'm definitely grabbing it! Such a cute lightweight denim dress and those flowers are embroidered on!! CUTE!!
Ok, I really thought I wanted this outfit but the more I look at it the more it looks frumpy to me.
the top is here: Maeve puff sleeve blouse. It's really cute but pricey and maybe not the best look for me.
The pants are the Colette full length white denim. I have them on in the 27 and that's my normal size in the Colette. Colette runs a smidge on the small side so if in doubt, size up. I need a pair of white denim but I'm not 100% sold on these.
For Dinner that night we grabbed a late lunch/early supper at Grimaldi's and I had a Hugo spritz made with lavender syrup. How good was it? I came home and ordered lavender syrup so I can make my own. Then today I saw an advertisement for a restaurant that has a raspberry Hugo spritz. I just so happened to have made some raspberry syrup the other day. I think you know what I'll be doing this weekend! We also had the seasonal Italian Hero pizza and it was soooo good!!
Whew, we are getting close to the end!
It's Monday and time for class again!
It's finally warm again so I can wear some new stuff. The shirt may look familiar because I had it in last month's rental and rented again in a different color. You'll also see another color coming up from the May box. I'd like to purchase this one but the color was unavailable to rent in April and it's a little pricey for what it is. Here's the Nuuly link so you can see it up close. I'm hoping that price comes down because I've actually worn these tops a lot when I've rented them. This one is my favorite so far. The shorts are from Evereve, they are the Renewal short from Sanctuary and I grabbed these in a 26. There's that old belt from the Gap maybe and those ever faithful Born mules.
Dinner was Italian beef sandwiches and you can find that recipe a lot on the blog but here's the first time it made an appearance
Moving along, we've got a ways to go. Lordy, I hope I don't fall this far behind again!
Tuesday takes me back to class and another day of real clothes
This top is old but it's from Sanctuary. It's a white guaze and an easy popover to wear with most anything.
The belt is from Amazon and the same studded crocs sandals we saw earlier.
The shorts are new...woohoo. Joelle stretch linen from Evereve, in my usual size 26.
We had homemade pizza for dinner.
Moving on to Wednesday and a full day at home, well other than grocery shopping and cleaning the house because it's a big weekend coming up.
It must have been a wee chilly again because I had on long sleeves and since I'm wearing shoes I must have been heading out to the grocery store. The shorts are the ones from Walmart (S) that you've seen many times and I paired them with a very old Patagonia tech shirt. Dinner was leftovers because we have lots of company coming tomorrow night.
Thursday came along and I got an order from Walmart online. So I tried them on real quick. I ordered a denim dress too but I had a panic attack when I got stuck in it. Don't you hate when that happens! At least I was at home and not in a dressing room!
This whole outfit was less than 20 bucks and for current knowledge, I'm actually wearing it right now. I'm debating on another color in the shorts. The shorts are the viral bungee shorts and they are so good. Seersucker bungee shorts (S) They wash and dry like a dream and are $8.98. Like I said, I'm tempted to order another color, I just wish they had a bright pink but I love the green. The t-shirt was also $8.98 and it says Flower Market on it. Sizes are limited with this one. It's 100% cotton, oversized fit and I've washed and dried it several times with no shrinkage. It's soft and the perfect addition to the shorts. Needless to say I clipped the tags off and tossed those in the wash.
Then I put on the clothes that I ended up wearing all day and night, because I got busy cooking and prepping for all of our guests that I ran out of time. You can see we got a wee bit chilly again so I pulled on my Orpheus hoodie and Zelle leggings. You've seen them both before several times.
We had our pre-Cinco de Mayo party for the folks
who come in from out of town and those who will be
around to help setup tomorrow night. This year
we had burgers, a veggie salad that I swore I had posted on the blog before but for the life of me I cannot find it so I guess I didn't. Potato Salad , baked beans from Sam's Club rounded out the main meal along with all the fixings for the burgers. We had Texas Ranch Cake, Rice Krispie
treats and fruit with fruit dip for dessert.
I have no pics of the rest of the weekend, Friday night was set up night for the party and we had hot dogs at the neighbors. Saturday was Derby Day so I had a mint julep while watching the race then over to the party. Mostly I ate crawfish and some boiled shrimp, actually I think that's all I ate. haha. Sunday, we loaded up with our neighbors out of town family and went to the horse races. I'm sure I ate nothing but junk while there and then we had pizza at their house after we got home. It was a long, fun and tiring weekend. We sent the doggies to the kennel Saturday morning so I needed to run grab them Monday morning before class.
I won't bore you with the details but I got one last wear out of these on Monday before I had to send my box back to Nuuly. Monday night for dinner we had leftover burgers and potato salad.
Tuesday, the 5th of May, I had class again so I'm up and dressed. The shorts are the Target (2) ones you've seen before The shirt is from Free People last year (XS), it's pink with some tiny blue and white stripes. It's a little cropped and perfect for the cold classrooms. Of course I'm wearing those ever faithful Sperry topsiders too.
Wednesday was an at home day and once again, it's chilly again.
This is a comfy lounge set from Joyspun at Walmart (s). It's out of stock now but the loungewear is as awesome as the pajamas are.
Dinner that night was Cheeseburger soup, I used up all the leftover burgers from Thursday night. It was yummy but I forgot pictures and where I found the recipe. Ooops
This is also where I apparently completely gave up on pictures. Ooops again!
Well, that gets us caught up on clothing and food until this week started so we're gonna save that til next time. I need to get up and move around a bit.
