How's everyone doing out there on this VERY windy Monday?
I've decided I'm going to do a spotlight each week of one of my favorite Young Living products. We'll learn a little about it and I'll tell you why I love it, although it's probably always going to include the fact that it's filled with non-toxic ingredients. You'd be surprised how important I think non-toxic ingredients are considering how much I love pop-tarts.
Ok, let's get on with the product of the week because now I'm craving a pop-tart!
Let's start with what Young Living has to say about this product:
Thieves Fresh Essence Plus Mouthwash delivers an invigorating clean that’s free from harsh alcohol, fluoride, and artificial dyes or flavors and is infused with our signature Thieves premium essential oil blend. Quillaja saponaria bark extract, also known as soapbark, contains saponins that act as a natural foaming agent to help loosen buildup and clean hard-to-reach areas for a better clean than brushing alone.
Now, let's just start with the obvious choice (for me) is that lack of fluoride. Google it people.....stop with the added fluoride. I don't necessarily have an issue with the alcohol but lots of folks do so let's just say that's a product that isn't necessarily needed in a mouthwash and YL has kindly left it out. I know this is important for many people and I respect that.
For all you "crunchy" peeps, here's some labels to show you what is/is not in this product.
This is what your ingredient list looks like.
Water, Colloidal silver, Mentha piperita† (Peppermint) oil, Lecithin, Quillaja saponaria wood extract, Potassium sorbate, Stevia rebaudiana (Stevia) leaf extract, Eugenia caryophyllus† (Clove) bud oil, Mentha spicata† (Spearmint) leaf extract, Citrus limon† (Lemon) peel oil, Cinnamomum zeylanicum† (Cinnamon) bark oil, Vetiveria zizanioides† (Vetiver) root oil, Eucalyptus radiata† leaf oil, Rosmarinus officinalis† (Rosemary) leaf oil, Tocopheryl, Citric acid
†Premium essential oil.
It has a cinnamon flavor and I use it every morning after I get out of the shower while I'm getting dressed. I don't usually eat until about 1030 or 11 every morning so this gets after that morning and coffee breath until I've had something to munch on then I'll brush my teeth. Also, cinnamon and cloves have some tannins that could temporarily stain your teeth, using this before brushing also helps keep those pearly whites shining.
One other thing to note, some folks find it to be a bit "spicy" and NO, don't drink it but if you think it's too spicy, dilute it a little bit and see if that helps. Personally, I love the cinnamon and clove tingle!
Are you ready to order? Lucky for you, I've got my handy little link all set up and ready to go. If you are going to use a mouthwash, then let's use one with some good things in it and not more junk. Save the junk for the Pop-Tarts!!
That's all for today Peeps, we'll see you tomorrow with a short review of She Actually Wore That!
Peace, Love, & Fresh Breath
