Sip, Savor & Share with Robert Mondavi Private Selection

Hey Again Peeps!

I'm coming to you with the one final party that I need to post about and that's the Robert Mondavi Private Selection Sip, Savor & Share party.

I was SUPER excited that I got selected for this party.  You may remember back around the 4th of July I shared about the Chardonnay selections from Robert Mondavi Private Selection.  This party included 3 red varieties:  Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon, Rum Barrel Aged Merlot, and Rye Barrel Aged Red Blend.

Let's cue the pictures!

This was the party pack as it arrived from @RippleStreetFun 3 tasting glasses, a wine opener, a cheeseboard set, a gift card to purchase the wine, and tasting guides.

A nice little close-up of the debit card and the cork pull.
Full confession...I never use a cork pull anymore, I had the not-that-fancy electric opener and I'm lost without it.  It makes opening wine a breeze!

The cheeseboard set.

Tasting glass on the wine tasting notes guide.

There was a spot for all three wines.

The Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon was the easiest of the three wines to fine.  I'm not normally a Cabernet fan but this one was really good.  Like, I'll buy it again good!  It did pair really well with that sharp cheddar too.

After an extensive search, we finally have all three bottles and are ready to taste.

This is the Rye Barrel Aged Red Blend.  This was the one I thought I'd like the most of all three, turns out it was my least favorite.  I'm not sure why but it just didn't do anything for me.  It did pair well with the feta and olives you see in this picture.

Next up is the Rum Barrel Aged Merlot.  This was the middle of the road for me as I'm non-committal on the Merlots of the world.  You could definitely taste the rum in this one and one of the ladies at our afternoon happy hour loved it.  So if you are a Merlot kinda person, you should give this one a try.  It did pair beautifully with those dark chocolate sea salt caramels too!

Time for Happy Hour!

You can all three have a beautiful deep hue to them.

That Cabernet was also quite delicious with my #Heinz57 pasta dish.

He's not a wine drinker but a good support for me and all my crazy ideas.

I can say that I will definitely purchase that Cabernet again, most likely you'll see it on the table when we have our family Thanksgiving gatherings.   Thankfully this was the easiest of the three wines to locate and pretty much any store that sold wine had this variety in stock.

I'm not sure what else Robert Mondavi has but I'm open to more samples.  Between the two parties, the Private Selection Classic Chardonnay and the Bourbon Barrel Aged Cabernet Sauvignon were the clear favorites and two you'll likely find in my wine refrigerator chilling.

Thanks again to @RippleStreetFun #RobertMondaviPrivateSelection for making this a #sponsored party in exchange for my honest opinion.

Peace, Love & WINE!

Heinz 57 Dinner House Party

Hey Peeps!!

I'm so behind, I owe you 2 party posts!!   WOW!! It's been forever since I've been lucky enough to host a house party but now I've had 4 of them.   In case you missed it I already posted about the Sweet Chaos popcorn party here and the Svedka goes Halloween here.  Today we are going to chat about the Heinz 57 Dinner House Party.

First up let's show you the party pack!

We have a Heinz 57 apron, some napkins, a reusable grocery bag, a wood trivet, a wood spoon, 2 honeys and 3 sauces.   They also included some tasting cups and tasting spoons in the pack.

The three sauces were Mandarin Orange Miso crunch, Roasted Garlic crunch and Chili Pepper crunch.

The two kinds of honey were Infused Honey with Hot Chili and Infused Honey with Black Truffle.

The grocery bag, spoon, and napkins from the pack.
I'm always happy to add another wooden spoon to the mix around here.
For some reason, I break those a lot!

The Heinz 57 apron and reusable grocery bag.
Aprons are always a hot commodity during the holidays, so much baking and I'm a messy cook.
I keep a stash of grocery bags in the trunk of my car and I have a few that could stand to be tossed so I'm glad to gain a replacement.

Hubster and I made this one night before we actually had the party....YA"LL, it is soooo good!
If you see this sauce on the shelf....grab it!

The lighting is horrible in this picture but here it is before we dug in.

Hubster loved it!

I loved it!

It had just the right amount of kick to it.  This pic was actually supposed to go in our Robert Mondavi wine party but I forgot to use it.  Oh well, the two went perfectly together.

Hubster was a real sport...he pretended to enjoy the wine.
He likes to swirl it and taste it and then declare, nope, sorry, I just don't like wine.

When we decided to stop eating right from the serving bowl, we actually added some parmesan to the top.
Cheese makes everything better.

It's party night and I've got the sauces out and ready to cook.

The honey is on the table ready for anyone who wants to add a bit more to their dinner.

A quick run to the grocery to get ingredients for dinner

FINALLY...it's time to eat

We made Garlic Pasta & tomatoes with the Roasted Garlic crunch sauce.

Crostini drizzled with the Black Truffle Honey

The Mandarin Orange Miso crunch sauce went into the Pork Rice & Veggie Bowl.

Sauces and Honey out for samples.

Grilled up some chicken thighs for a Hot Honey chicken.

Good Friends, Full bellies, and a lot of fun at this party.
