TuTu Tuesday

Howdy Peeps!!!

We are definitely having some spring weather in Texas, one day close to 90 and the next in the 50's.  We are getting rain so we'll take it!

Let's get to the wild and wacky creations I came up with this last week, shall we?!

#1- Wednesday- I had a class so I needed to pull myself together a bit.  I don't usually wear shorts to class because it's always freezing in the classrooms.
Top: Rental from Nuuly- This is the Keira collared blouse by Pilcro (Small), I really liked the blouse and the price to purchase was dirt cheap but I'm trying a different color in my next rental.
Jeans: the Kut From The Kloth jeans (2) you've seen before
The belt, I thought came from Amazon but I can't find where I ordered it.  It's nothing special, just a brown faux leather belt.   The shoes are those Born mules that I've had forever.

#2- Thursday was spent working around the house so you know, fashion is not involved.
The shorts are the blue ones (small)  from Wallyworld and the t-shirt is from a few years ago. Barkus parade during Mardi Gras in New Orleans.

#3- Thursday evening was HOA meeting and I couldn't go to that possible 💩 show in what I was wearing so I grabbed my favorite rental shorts from Mother (27).  I had to take those to the UPS store on Friday so I was getting one last wear out of them! I did reorder them in a 26 for April's box.  We'll see which I prefer.   Shirt: My old reliable Daydreamer Prince t-shirt and some platform KEDS tennis shoes.

#1- Friday had me out running a couple of errands then down to the neighbors for hot dogs that evening.
Shirt- We The Free by Free People from last year (XS) These shirts are fantastic, they wash and wear like a dream!   Shorts- Kut from the Kloth Jane shorts (4).   I'm sure I put on some shoes but I couldn't tell you what they were.
#2- Saturday- you can see we hit that cooler weather and rain.  The sweatshirt is from a couple of years ago at Evereve. They usually have it every fall/winter but change the colors.  There is a black/white stripe down the sleeves and this hoodie is perfection!   The jeans are a rental from Nuuly that stayed with me.
They are Good American (27) and they felt like they had been in my closet for years soft when they arrived.  I knew the second I put them on they were not going back.  I tossed a Baylor bears baseball cap on because it was humid as heck and my hair was growing by the second.   The tennis shoes are Nike, a purchase last year while at Mardi Gras that I've worn so much.  Excellent spur of the moment purchase!
#3- It's Easter Sunday and I wanted to be bright and happy even though it was still chilly out.
The sweater is another Evereve  (s) purchase and I absolutely love it.  It's not scratchy at all and so fun and the perfect cropped length. Jeans: PAIGE Anessa (27) and no, I did not pay that for jeans.  I found mine at Nordstrom Rack last year for a much more palatable price.   The shoes were a fun purchase last year too, Adidas Gazelle (8)    The white t-shirt is from Wallyworld, it's the Time & Tru brand (S) and I have it in black too.  It's the perfect layering tee.

Well, we've made it through another boring week of what she really wore so let's finish up this post.

#1- It's Monday and I felt like starting the week off by showing you my PJ's.  These are said pajamas that came from a FabFitFun box.   They are from HoneyDew (S/M) and are so soft.  I'm wearing my Ugg slippers and about to hop in the shower to start the week.
#2- My pj's may have looked nicer but I had lots of plants that I picked up on Saturday that needed tending too so super casual was the word of the day.   Leggings: The infamous leggings from Amazon (s) and a t-shirt the MereBear got for the family when we went on our Alaska trip trip.
#3- brings us to today, we are warming up and I grabbed my old skort from Zelle for Nordstrom (M) - it's big but it's such a good skort, I haven't donated it yet.  The sweatshirt, Shiraleigh (M) you've seen before and I've since washed it in super hot water and tried to shrink, to no avail, it's tucked in a bit but it's the perfect light weight sweatshirt.

I meant to take a pic of my pj's this morning but I forgot before I hopped in the shower.   It's a riveting day around here, catching up on computer work and listening to little Rouxby Sue snore at my feet.

She's a pampered girl indeed.

Take care my peeps, say a little prayer for someone in need today.
Peace, Love, & puppy snores

Good Friday

Happy Good Friday Peeps!

It's actually not even Good Friday anymore because I'm slow and easily distracted but I think we can celebrate Good Friday any day!

I thought I'd pop in real quick and let you know how this weeks been going since we got caught up on Tuesday.     Tuesday evening we did in fact have Taco's and the Husber was thrilled.

When I make Taco's I like to grab this at the grocery store.

It's already preseasoned and you can just dump it in the pan and brown it up and it's ready to go.  I, however, am not basic so I like to jhuzz it up.   If I'm feeling real feisty, I will chop up an onion and soften that up with a little olive oil first, I was not feeling feisty.   I did add a can of chopped green chili's to the meat.    I think I also added a little bit of cumin too, because I like it that's why.    Cumin is an underrated spice in my humble opinion!

I do love me some Siete products and I also love ranchero beans so I grabbed this can in the grocery.
Dear Siete- I love you, feel free to send me lots of things to sample 😁
They were actually really good and I'll rotate these with the refried black beans that Siete does.  Now Samma, are you eating those beans or what?   I put them on my taco, it's a bit of extra protein and it "helps" keep the taco from falling apart.

Here is my taco- you can see beans on the bottom, then meat, then toppings and it's all topped off with Trader Joe's Spicy Taco Sauce.  Even the hubster loves that stuff.  Also, the taco shells did not stay together 😖. They were the stand and stuff shells and they busted in half on the first bite.  But you know what, broken tacos are still delicious!

Now, Wednesday brought about a class for me to attend.    Today we attended Jean Lafitte: The Pirate Who Saved New Orleans.   As always, the class was full of great information and lots of fun.

I don't have any other classes until next week then BAM, it's like almost every day for the next couple of weeks.   If you are interested this is what is coming up:

Bucket List Books - 4 weeks- (1) The Book of Ruth (2) The Call of the Wild (3) Rapunzel and (4) The Goldfinch

I've finished the Book of Ruth and am almost done with Call of the Wild.   The Goldfinch is pretty long so I need to start it as soon as possible since I'm reading a book for NetGalley that the review is due in May.

Kings Of France: Let Them Eat Cake! - 4 weeks

Honestly, this one is a stretch for me but I've taken so many classes by this instructor and his classes are always hilarious yet chocked full of information.

Intermediate Hand Embroidery - 4 weeks

(we are actually going to be doing a monogrammed tea towel)
I've been practicing my stitches from the beginner class earlier this semester to prep.

Gardening by the Moon: Almanacs & how to use them- 1 week

I'm pretty excited about this one, the almanac has always been a little confusing for me so it'll be fun to get into how to property interpret it.

Great Perennial Borders & How to Grow Them - 1 week

If only I could get a perennial border to look like that picture.
I try, try, and try again!

That will finish out the spring semester and we register for Fall Semester the first week of June, although we won't pick out our classes until later in the summer.

So let's see what else was on the dinner menu last week, we already talked about the taco's.
Wednesday evening we fired up the Ooni pizza oven and had us a little pizza.  We are a bit out of practice but we'll be back in the swing with that oven soon!

(we had to cut off the crust but otherwise it was delicious!)

Thursday evening we had a little HOA meeting to attend and they normally have pizza but we weren't sure so we made a quick ham sandwich before we left.   They did have pizza but I skipped out since I already had a sandwich.

Friday, we hung out at home and went down to the neighbors for some hotdogs.
I love a good hot dog!

Saturday, we were out and about looking at flowers with some other neighbors so we made a last minute stop at Burg Wings.  It was delicious and it was a LOT so we sort of skipped dinner.  At least I did, I think Hubster fished out some leftovers.

Then Sunday was Easter, we had no kiddos home so we invited the neighbors we'd been hanging with all weekend over for a quiet Easter dinner.   I'm a southern girl so you know we had ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans, Cracker Barrel carrots, Deviled eggs & rolls with banana split pie and brownies for dessert.   Everyone was full as ticks and my heart was as full as my britches.

That's all for today and I'll be posting those riveting clothing pics in the next day or so!
I know you are waiting with baited breath to see what atrocities I've managed to wrangle.

Peace, Love, & Deviled Eggs
Samma
