Hey there my home improvement peeps!
Ok, so let's show you these three little pics and see if I can hit the sack before midnight!
Also, I did try to brighten the pics up a little bit today so hopefully they are sligtly improved.
Today, they filled in the holes and re-textured the walls along with sanding and prepping the cabinets for painting. See those 3 circles, those have led to our first snafu. Through no one's fault, just a complete communication breakdown on both sides. Basically, we thought we were both talking apples but we were talking plums and peaches. We gave Hector a quick call and he and I will figure it out in the morning but those circles are the spots for the vanity lights which are sconces and were going on the sides of the vanity mirrors, not over them. If it's the only snafu we hit, we're doing good.
They got the walls textured where the tile came off, we aren't going to take the tile as high up as it was before. Also, do not be alarmed, there is plastic over the windows.
These cabinets are sanded and ready as well. They did some chalk work in the seams so it's drying.
That's it....there was a LOT of sanding and texturing going on today. They were ready to set the valves on the shower and bath but we have some kind of old fittings on our plumbing and they've had to special order those. One of those weird things you don't know until you get everything ripped out.
Also, Salvador was in today measuring so he can get the countertops cut.
In the meantime, Hubster has decided he wants to rip out the flooring in our pool bath and add the brick floors like we did in the kitchen/den. The pool bath connects to the den floor and honestly we should have done it when we were doing the den/kitchen but we were really tired and over construction at that point. This means we also are getting a new vanity, toilet and light fixture, so I have to get busy, busy and get those found/ordered. It's nothing fancy since it's just the ½ bath that is used when we are out on the patio or in the pool.
Francisco is going to start ripping up the powder bath while he awaits the plumbing parts so he can start tiling in the shower.
Maybe tomorrow I'll be on the ball and show you those pics but I totally forgot to take any today.
All right, off to bed I go! See ya MaƱana !
Peace, Love & Plumbing!
Samma
