Hey Peeps!!
Today is gonna be a short post because the changes aren't super visible but just you wait until tomorrow's update!!
But first, we MUST acknowledge what today is!
Sorry...couldn't let today pass without that.
Yesterday started at the Laundromat (or the washateria depending on where you grew up). I had never heard it called a Washateria until moving to Texas, it was always the Laundromat. No matter what you call it, it's a beatdown. HaHa We hadn't done laundry for almost 2 weeks so it was a task that could no longer be avoided. Nothing like folding your unmentionables in a room full of strangers! Thankfully for all of us, I did not take photos. Next week, the wash and fold service will be used and then hopefully, the washer and dryer will make a reappearance.
Things are going quickly this week so enjoy this short post because things are being delivered, painted, and hung, and installed and the pics and posts will be long!
The island is all painted and yes, that is a slight gray color. If you remember it's actually called On The Rocks and it was a bit more gray-looking this morning after it dried.
Everything is primed and ready for paint.
Salvador stopped by this morning to quadruple-check the measurements of the island countertop.
They went ahead and set the sink in to make sure everything was correctly sized before he made the cuts.
It is one giant slab and they are all being super cautious because a wrong cut is going to require a whole new slab. EEEK, fingers crossed this goes well. We will know on Saturday!
Here's a peek at the sink. I snuck in a few pics before they put it back safely in the box.
Everything is coming along all primed and ready.
This is going to look very different the next time you see it!
The floor is full of cabinets and drawers and paint stuffs.
We had dinner last at El Paseo to celebrate our neighbor's birthday!
No photos because there were 16 of us and I was enjoying the company and let's face it, I'm probably a little high from all the paint fumes.
And lastly, we have been invaded by these cuties. There were no less than 5 in the kitchen yesterday.
I'm pretty sure that's one of the reasons we got strict instructions to keep all doors and windows closed while the paint is drying.
Peace, Love, & COLOR
